Our Chairman Dr.Shashi Kumar V Meharwade sir is a true visionary in the field of the Indian Systems of Medicine. With a farsighted vision to spread awareness among the common people that the body has an inherent capacity to heal itself, he established Ayurveda hospital in the year 2002. His mission has been to promote natural and holistic healthcare systems that empower individuals to achieve health and well-being through time-tested Indian medical traditions.

Tapovana Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital stand as the only well-established institution of its kind in Central Karnataka. Tapovana has earned recognition as one of the leading institutions in the country, offering excellence in academics, research, and infrastructure. In recognition of its academic standards and institutional excellence, Tapovana Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Doddabathi, Davangere, Karnataka, has been awarded Grade ‘A’ by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Indian System of Medicine (MARBISM) under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi, for the academic session 2024-25. This prestigious accreditation reflects the college’s adherence to National norms in education, infrastructure, research, and clinical training.

The college functions from its permanent campus spread across 5 acres, featuring architecturally designed building constructed in accordance with NCISM and University norms.
